INTRODUCTION

T
he National Museum is the primary government agency tasked with the preservation, conservation and protection of movable and immovable cultural properties for the safekeeping and for the enjoyment by present and future generations. It is assisted in this endeavor by numerous private and government outfits engaged in museum work and archaeological activities in varying levels.
