CEBU CITY, May 23 (PIA) -- The public school system in Region 7 is set to get a boost after the Department of Education (DepEd) announced the construction of additional classrooms and opening of new teacher items in the region.
DepEd-7 Regional Director Dr. Carmelita Dulangon in a recent Kapihan forum disclosed that new classrooms are now being built in several public schools region-wide.
Target accomplishment for 2013 is 602 total classrooms in Central Visayas.
Of the total, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has reportedly completed construction of 80 classrooms for the first batch as of March 31, 2013.
