2,500 call center scholarship slots up for NegOcc
NEGROS OCCIDENTAL, July 27 (PIA) -- The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) here has announced the availability of 2,500 scholarship slots to train call center agents.
Tesda Provincial Director Lorena T. Yunque said the finishing course for call center agents National Certificate II is a 100-hour course which includes training in communication skills and customer service.
The scholarship training is funded under the industry-based training for work scholarship program (I-TWSP) and co-managed with the Business Processing Association of the Philippines (BPAP), Call Center Association of the Philippines (CCAP) and the Bacolod-Negros Occidental Federation for Information Technology (BNEFIT) in response to the need for more call center agents in Negros Occidental.
Bacolod City has been ranked among the top three next wave cities by BPAP, and is host to major call center companies.
Applicants should be at least 18 years old, high school graduate and can speak English.
