DENR V opens bid for Cadastral Survey Project
LEGAZPI CITY, June 18 (PIA) -- The Department of Environment and Natural Resources Bids and Awards Committee (DENR-BAC) in the Bicol region recently held the Pre-Bid Conference for the Cadastral Survey Project in this city.
Engr. Pedro L. Noble of DENR 5, said that aside from the contractors and construction firms, representatives from public and government agencies are likewise invited to take part in the bidding to ensure transparency.
“We want transparency so we have representatives from both public and private agencies to observe and witness in line with the policy of Daang Matuwid of President Aquino,” Noble said.
DENR V Surveys Division Chief Josie Columna said that the Cadastral survey, expected to be finished within two years, will be conducted in various municipalities of Albay, Masbate, and Camarines Sur.
“The project will include survey of entire municipalities to determine the boundary of their area which is a vital factor in determining the internal revenue allotment for local government units (LGUs), establishment of political control, issuance of lot titles, and other needed administrative matters,” Columna further said.
Among the bidders who complied with the eligibility and financial capacity requirements set by the BAC are the joint ventures of JR Fernandez and Tri-Axis Surveying Office for Tiwi Albay, Salazar and LPC Engineering Services for Del Gallego Camarines Sur, Olivete Surveying for Milagros, and A.D Antionio Surveying and Consultancy for Palanas Masbate.
Noble disclosed no bids have been submitted for the cadastral survey of Sto. Domingo in Albay.
