CSC Field Office turns over medicines to Cooperative

ROMBLON, Romblon, June 21 (PIA) -- The Civil Service Commission Field Office – Romblon turned over medicines worth P54,000 to the Romblon Municipal Employees Cooperative for the “Botika para sa Taumbayan” project last June 8.

The “Botika Para sa Taumbayan” project was created through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Civil Service Commission (CSC) and Department of Health (DOH).

Through the MOA, DOH will grant 15 million worth of medicines to initiate 300 drug retail stores in government agencies. Romblon Employees Cooperative is second to San Fernando Romblon Government Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative (SFRGEMPC) to complete requirements for the project.

The "Botika" will sell quality medicine at low prices to government employees and to the public.

The launching was attended by Honorable Mayor Gerard S. Montojo, Vice-Mayor Melvin Mesana, Ms. Corona A. Tandog, CSC Field Office-Romblon and municipal employees of the Municipal Government of Romblon, Romblon. (Contributed by Corona A. Tandog/TBO/DM/PIA-IVB/Romblon)
