MimaropaComNet organized
QUEZON CITY, May 28 (PIA) -- Various information officers from government regional offices of Mimaropa have gathered to formally establish an organization.
In a meeting held at the Philippine Information Agency Conference Room in Quezon City on May 25, the body has agreed to name the assembly as Mimaropa Communicators Network (MimaropaComNet).
The meeting was organized by the Philippine Information Agency Region 4B, in cooperation with the National Economic and Development Authority-Regional Development Council (NEDA-RDC).
The members have also elected their officers who will serve a two-year term. Elaine Paredes of the Philippine Ports Authority was voted by majority of the voting members as the president of the organization. Other elected officers are Renato Apostol of the Department of Budget and Management, Anne Omrog of the Civil Service Commission, Bernadette Gardoce of NEDA, Jinky Macatanga of Marina, Gian Alexis Borgonia of the Department of Interior and Local Government and Eddielito Sumangil of the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples.
The newly-elected officers have agreed to meet soon to finalize the organization’s terms of reference, Constitution and By-Laws. (LBR-PIA4B)
