Cavite officials to distribute school supplies

GENERAL MARIANO ALVAREZ, Cavite, May 25 (PIA) -- The local government and the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation (SKF) joined hands today in distributing school supplies in time for the opening of classes next month. Supplies were also handed for the feeding program designed to balance the health requirements of the children.

The distribution of school supplies and feeding program is currently happening at the LGV Sports Complex starting at 8:00 a.m. and will end up at 5:00 p.m.

Mayor Leonisa Joana “Ona” Virata and Keanu Patrick M. Olido of SKF led the event and distributed school supplies to children especially those who belong to the underprivileged sector in the community.

This project of the local government and the SKF is aimed to assist the parents especially since the prices of school supplies continue to rise.

In other news, Cavite 6th District Representative Antonio “Ony” A. Ferrer together with the local government of General Trias will be sponsoring the 1st General Trias Youth Leaders Summit this coming June 7 with the theme: “Kabataang Caviteño, Progresibo, Handa sa Hamon ng Pagbabago.”

The venue of the event will be at the Lyceum of the Philippines University-Cavite campus from 8:00 a.m. onwards.

Expected to grace the event is Senator Migz Zubiri, Kara David of GMA Network, Rev. Fr. Carmelo Caluag of Magna Anima System and Education System and other distinguished guests. (RF-PIA 4A, Cavite)
