PNP arrests Bulacan’s 73 most wanted
MALOLOS CITY, Bulacan, Aug 18 (PIA) -- The Bulacan Police Provincial Office (BPPO) has arrested 73 of Bulacan’s most wanted persons, in the month of July, including Pulilan’s fifth most wanted, with its heightened campaign against crime.
Senior Supt. Fernando Mendez Jr., Bulacan police director, said the arrest of the most wanted persons is the result of police vigilance and continuous manhunt operations to persons with warrant of arrest, which is in compliance of PChief Supt. Edgardo Ladao’s order.
“The success of police operations can be related with the community’s active participation in maintaining peace and order in the province (Ang tagumpay ng kanilang police operations ay maiuugnay sa aktibong pakikilahok ng komunidad upang mapanatili ang katahimikan sa lalawigan),” Mendez added.
He said, one of the police stations’ main focus is the anti-crime strategy to make the province free of bad elements and make the criminals accountable of their actions.
Antonio Bautista, Pulilan’s fifth most wanted was among the wanted persons now in jail.
Philippine National Police (PNP)-Bulacan records show that San Jose del Monte has the most number of arrested wanted persons with 12 persons, followed by San Miguel, nine; Marilao, eight; and Plaridel, five.
Four wanted persons were arrested in each town of Guiguinto, Malolos, San Ildefonso and Sta. Maria, three in Baliuag and Norzagaray and two in towns of Hagonoy, Pandi and San Rafael.
The Provincial Intelligence Branch, Balagtas, Calumpit, Meycauayan and Obando have lone arrested person each. (CLJD/ATC-PIA3))
