“This is the first launching done here in Santiago City in partnership with the city nutrition council aired over DWSI-Sonshine Radio every Wednesdays and Fridays,” Maestre stated.
In this city, 20 school children, aged 6 to 12, were selected from different elementary schools and divided into three; they will take alternate schedules in going on-air. Each team is composed of an anchor, co-anchor, and five reporters. The "Batang Radyo" in this city is aired twice a week for this summer season but on school days, the program will be aired once a week only.

Further, Maestre said school children are the best advocates in promoting good nutrition especially to young children as well as the mothers who are preparing the food of the children everyday.
