PBSP-Citibank Business in Development (BiD) Challenge Philippines Marketplace and Awarding rites May 30

QUEZON CITY, May 28 (PIA) –- Marketing experts from all over the country will be converging at One Esplanade, SM Central Business Park in Pasay City on Wednesday, May 30 at 1 p.m. for the BiD Challenge Philippines.

The Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) said in a press release it is an annual business plan competition which aims to generate new and innovative business ideas that combine poverty reduction and profit, where viable ideas are matched with potential investors.

PBSP said in the competition, successful participants can receive personal and professional coaching to develop a solid, bankable, and complete business plan, as well as exposure to a network of local and international financiers, investors, and business contacts.

Twenty nine qualified entries will be showcased to demonstrate their products and services to prospect investors.

This activity aims to facilitate business matchmaking between the entrepreneur and their potential investor. The 29 entrepreneurs will have the opportunity for a one-on-one interaction with investors to discuss their business proposals for possible financing.

Volunteer advisers will be engaged and stationed at a designated booth to provide advisory services to entrepreneurs and interested individuals needing technical advice in the areas of marketing, product development, pricing, and financial management.

A three-hour session focusing on the trends in Product Development, Tapping Institutional Markets, Distribution Channels, and Value Chain Approach.

BiD Awarding will highlight the most outstanding entries and finalist of the PBSP-Citibank BiD Challenge Philippines. The winner of the BiD Challenge Philippines will be the country’s representative in the BiD Challenge International Competition. (PSBP/RJB/JRCA/PIA-NCR)
