27 careers officers complete DAP course on policy analysis
PASIG CITY, May 2 (PIA) -- A total of 27 public managers recently graduated from the Development Academy of the Philippines’ (DAP) Policy Appreciation Course held last April 18-20 at the DAP Building in Pasig City. The graduates are tasked to implement innovative governance and effective policy analysis within the bureaucracy.
The PAC module equips participants with the requisite public policy concepts, tools, and analytical skills in order to make the career executive officers (CESO) and other eligibles effective producers and consumers of public policy analysis.
Moreover, the course addresses specific leadership and managerial competencies of CESOs and eligibles particularly on providing sound policy inputs to decisions-makers.
The Policy Appreciation Course (PAC) is a collaboration between the DAP’s Center for Governance and the Career Executive Service Board (CESB). The latest offering was the fourth since its inception in 2008.
The PAC faculty, headed by former DAP President Dr. Eduardo T. Gonzales, was composed of
seasoned lecturers which include Dr.Corazon Alma de Leon and Dr. William Padolina, Dr. Fernando Aldaba (Ateneo de Manila University), Mr. Filomeno Sta. Ana (Action for Economic Reforms), Executive Director Anthonette Allones (CESB) , DAP’s Mr. Bobby Julian and Ms. Maricris Valte.
The new graduates will join the ranks of 107 Career Executive Service Officers (CESOs) and eligibles who have taken part in the CESB-accredited course. (DAP – PAE/PIA-Central)
