DAP gets ISO certification

QUEZON CITY, July 25 (PIA) --The Development Academy of the Philippines’ (DAP) was certified by the The Certification International Philippines, Inc. (CIPI) as compliant to the requirements of ISO-9001:2008 or Quality Management System (QMS) Surveillance Audit.

The Certification International Philippines, Inc. (CIPI) reported on July 10 that DAP was able to show its compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001: 2008, the requirements of its customers and top-management, and—when applicable—legal requirements.

Further, CIPI also reported that no new non-conformities (NCs) were raised and all NCs from the previous audit were successfully resolved by the management.

DAP’s project management system (PMS) in training, research and technical assistance services continue to be of high quality as it consistently adheres to the ISO standard.

Moreover, the DAP PMS Quality Management System coverage was extended up to the regional operations, making the DAP sa Mindanao (DSM) regional operations office part of the ISO certification.

Meanwhile, DAP President Antonio D. Kalaw, Jr. congratulated all DAPpers and urged them to work hand in hand towards successfully overcoming different challenges ahead.

“My colleagues in DAP, Congratulations…We shall institutionalize our PMS-QMS towards making part of our organizational culture by having more internal compliance audits… We still have a lot of challenges to meet, but with everybody’s help, we can surpass them”. Kalaw said.

DAP’s compliance to the ISO standard manifests its enduring commitment to public service quality and performance excellence and sets an example for other government instrumentalities being a member of the Government Quality Management Committee (GQMC) responsible for institutionalizing Quality Management Systems in Government.
