DPWH ASSURES ZAMBO CITY OF P150M FUNDING FOR ROAD EXPANSION

ZAMBOANGA CITY , May 13 (PIA) -- Public Works Secretary Rogelio Singson has assured Zamboanga City thru Mayor Celso Lobregat of the inclusion of the P150 million funding for the proposed expansion of the Baliwasan seaside road project in the 2011 budget of the Department of Public works and Highways (DPWH). This was confirmed by City Information Officer Sheila Covarrubias.
“Traffic congestion in roads leading to the west coast will be greatly reduced with the proposed expansion of the Baliwasan seaside road project which is expected to commence soon,” Covarrubias said fallowing the assurance made by the DPWH Secretary.
