NEGROS ORIENTAL STATE UNIVERSITY PRODUCES 13 NEW GEOLOGISTS

DUMAGUETE CITY, Aug 30 (PIA) -- Thirteen examinees from Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) passed the Licensure Exam for Geologists conducted by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) in Manila on August 14 to 16. Of the total passers, six are from Negros Oriental, five from Mindanao and one each from Cebu and Negros Occidental. There were 33 examinees from NORSU who took the licensure exam, according to NORSU Department Chair of Physics and Geology Eduardo Iso. NORSU’s passing rate is at 39 percent. MGB eyes students, private geologists for mapping
DAVAO CITY April 16 (PIA)-- The Mines and Geosciences Bureau Region XI (MGB-XI) is considering the help of geology students and private mining geologists to fast-track the completion of its 1:10,000 scale geo-hazard maps.
