LOCAL FARMERS, NGO TO PLANT 500 TREES

Cebu City, April 27 (PIA) -- The Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI) and the Kapunongan sa Mag-uuma sa Cansomoroy (Kasamaca) agreed on March 25 to plant 500 native tree seedlings with RAFI providing the seedlings.
Kasamaca will plant these seedlings at Cansomoroy Elementary School in the municipality of Balamban, Cebu with assurance that the group will give proper care and maintain ythe plants to ensure at least 95 percent of seedling survival rate.
Part of the agreement is that Kasamaca will submit a report to RAFI on the growth of the seedlings every three months, within the first two years of plantation.
