BFP'S 'UGNAYAN SA BARANGAY' HIGHLIGHTS FIRE PREVENTION, PREPAREDNESS

SILAY CITY, Negros Occidental, March 6 (PIA) -- The Silay City Fire and Rescue Team will conduct an “Ugnayan sa Barangay” in several barangays on March 11-14 in observance of Fire Prevention Month this March. In “Ugnayan sa Barangay,” residents will be taught on first aid tips and basic life support. Safety tips will also be disseminated to the public to lessen fire incidents in the city. The 2013 Fire Prevention Month themed: “Sunog at Sakuna Paghandaan, Kalikasan ay Pangalagaan nang Matamasa ang Pag-unlad ng Bayan,” focuses on fire prevention, disaster preparedness and preservation of the environment. Ugnayang Barangay set in municipality of Boac
BOAC, Marinduque, Jan 24 (PIA) -- The municipality of Boac is set to hold its “ugnayang barangay” in barangays Canat, Boi, and Bayuti on January 29 and 30. The barangays will get free medical and dental services/consultations from Dr. Boncajes, rural physician, Dr. Gilda Calachan, dentist, and their medical staff.
