ILOILO CITY, April 3 (PIA) – The Department of Tourism (DOT) said there are other areas in Western Visayas that can be developed into major tourist destinations in addition to Boracay Island, which has already gained worldwide recognition. Iloilo is one of them which with proper packaging, said tourism Secretary Alberto Lim, could become another major tourist destination with focus on its rich cultural heritage.
