NGCP EXPLAINS THE NEED TO SEPARATE POWER DELIVERY COMPANIES

BUTUAN CITY, June 18 (PIA) -- The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has explained the need to separate generating companies, transmission companies, and distribution companies in delivering power to the community.
During Friday’s Power 101 forum and press briefing held at Almont Hotel’s Inland Resort here, Attorney Cynthia Alabanza, NGCP spokesperson and adviser for External Affairs, there is need to separate these areas in power delivery as mandated under the Electric Power Industry Reform Act (EPIRA) Law. Under the law, its structure has segmentized the energy industry.
