BUTUAN CITY, May 10 (PIA) –- The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) will soon launch a municipal fish hatchery in Bunawan, Agusan del Sur. BFAR-Caraga information officer Shane Abeguel Eviota said the project primarily aims to assist local residents who are interested to get into fishery as a livelihood opportunity but don’t have the capacity to obtain fingerlings of different species. The official said the project will benefit the local residents since they can get fingerlings from the said hatchery for free.
