Thousands of jobs await Aklanons in jobs fair

KALIBO, Aklan, April 24 (PIA6) -- Thousands of jobs await Aklanons in the jobs fair on April 27 at the ABL Sports Complex here. The event is sponsored by the Provincial Government through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO).

The jobs fair is one of the major activities of Aklan in celebration of its 56th anniversary as a province.

The jobs fair offers positions for nurses, laboratory technologists, dental assistants, electricians, heavy equipment drivers, caregivers, cooks, carpenters, masons, mechanics, laborers, painters, plumbers, security guards, baby sitters, household workers and waiters.

These jobs vacancies are available abroad in countries like Brunei, Cyprus, Hongkong, Israel, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Taiwan, and the United Arab Emirates, according to PESO-Aklan.

For those who just want to work in Aklan, available positions include baggers, cashiers, dining crew, electricians, management trainees, production crew, promo or merchandizers, sales assistants, service crew, stockman, F&B services agent, waiters, waitress, front desk officers, purchasers, housekeeping and others.

Interested applicants can apply through the PESO office with their application letter addressed to Governor Carlito S. Marquez, with resume, 2X2 pictures, barangay clearance, school credentials, valid passports for those applying for jobs abroad, NBI clearance and certificate of employment (if one has work experience already), placed inside a long white folder.
