Entries for TAYO awards till July 16

ILOILO CITY, July 11 (PIA6) -- The National Youth Commission has reiterated its call for applications to this year's Ten Outstanding Youth Organizations (TAYO) awards which will be accepting nominees until July 16.

Now on its 10th year, which recognizes the contributions of the youth to the development of their local communities, schools and workplaces through their innovative projects, is open to all groups, organizations, clubs and societies with at least 15 members aged 15 to 30 years.

The group’s project entry to be submitted must be a recently concluded project or an ongoing program. This continuing project entry which started in 2011 must either be completed or a major portion of which must had undertaken by the deadline.

Each youth organization can submit only one entry while the winners of the TAYO 9 are not eligible to join in this year’s search. However, other previous winners and finalists may participate provided that their project entries submitted are different from their previous entries.

The awardees will each receive P50, 000 worth of cash grant to be used for their current efforts or future programs and projects.
Application forms may be downloaded at the NYC website, www.nyc.gov.ph and the TAYO Awards website www.tayoawards.net.

Organizations are encouraged to submit their applications online via the TAYO Awards website using the online form and submit the attachments via email to tayo10entry@gmail.com. Or they may also mail or hand-carry applications to: The TAYO Secretariat, National Youth Commission, Bookman Building, 373 Quezon Avenue, Quezon City.

TAYO 10 is also presented by Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines, Inc and supported by the Philippine Council of Young Political Leaders, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Lenovo Philippines, Jollibee, and Cebu Pacific. (JCM/LAF/PIA6)
