Of the 3,953 beneficiaries, 1,098 from the town of Talisay and 2,855 from the town of Daet, this province.
DSWD Regional Director NemiaTapispisan said they are now in the process of registration of the beneficiaries of the said two towns to the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) and after this the families will receive their first cash subsidy for the months of January and February this year.
She said there are 27,996 beneficiaries listed in all the 12 towns of the province who are receiving/to receive cash subsidy provided that they will comply to the conditions on health, nutirition and education.
She explained the DSWD has selected the qualified beneficiaries through the National Household Targetting System for Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR) using a computer system to pin point the situation of municipalities on who or where are the indigent families located.
The 4Ps is a poverty reduction and social development strategy of the national government that provides conditional cash grants to extremely poor households to improve their health, nutrition and education particularly children below 14 years old.
