LUCENA CITY, Quezon, April 30 (PIA) -- A total of 10,500 jobs are available in the ‘Serbisyong Suarez Mega Jobs Fair’ held today at Quezon Convention Center in this city.

According to Quezon Governor David Suarez, they invited 48 local employers and 14 overseas employers to provide jobs for the residents of the province.

“This is one of my priority programs, to provide jobs for new graduates and underemployed. The jobs fair will somehow help them to have decent jobs here in our country and abroad,” Gov. Suarez said.

Gov. Suarez added that aside from conducting a jobs fair, the provincial government has focused on the improvement of delivery of quality education by constructing computer laboratories in public secondary schools in the province.

“As early as high school, we developed their computer literacy and skills in order for them to be more competitive to private schools; the province has Quezon Science High School that caters to poor but intelligent students from the province,” Suarez said.

Suarez also said that they will invite the ‘Go negosyo caravan’ in the province for residents who want to engage in small businesses. (CPG/JMG-PIA 4A, Quezon)
