CITY OF BACOOR, Cavite, Sept 13 (PIA) -- The city government will implement the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) also called as Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) in early 2013.

This was discussed by Mayor Strike Revilla in a meeting with Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Dinky Soliman at the DSWD office in Quezon City.

The 4Ps is a “human development program of the national government and a social protection strategy that invests in the health and education of poor children age 0-14 years old,” according to the DSWD website.

Revilla said the program of the national government is consistent with the six-point STRIKE program implemented by the city government. It includes providing social services, housing projects for the poor and personnel of the city government and health services to underprivileged residents of Bacoor.

The rehabilitation program for victims of the recent southwest monsoon which affected some 72,000 families was also discussed during the meeting wherein the city government declared a state of calamity to speed up delivery of services to affected families.

Joining Soliman and Revilla during the meeting were City Administrator Attorney Doris Yumol, City Legal Officer attorney Elmer Rabuya and City Social Welfare and Development Office Chief Liliane de Roxas-Ugalde and her staff. (CPG/RBF, PIA-Cavite/Bacoor PIO)
