Leadership training for barangay committees on PWD held
CARMONA, Cavite, July 6 (PIA) -- The local government through the Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO) Community-Based Rehabilitation conducted a leadership training for barangay committees on Persons with Disability (PWD).
Twenty-nine barangay PWD officers, 10 barangay committees on PWD and Kilusan ng may Kapansanan para sa Kinabukasan (4K) officers attended the training held at the Carmona Elementary School covered court.
Mayor Dahlia Loyola encouraged the attendees to accept the challenge and commit themselves to the organization for the benefit of the PWDs in their communities.
The training was facilitated by the Professor Paul Victor R. De Guzman, Perpetual Help University-DALTA System marketing director.
Meanwhile, the local government of Carmona conducted an earthquake drill last month at the municipal town plaza in support to the Office of the Civil Defense’ (OCD) simultaneous conduct of earthquake drills nationwide.
Participants, mostly employees, practiced the “duck, cover and hold” rule once the earthquake warning alarm rings.
