DTI and LKFI conducts month-long trade fair at Imus

TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite, June 26 (PIA) -- Manufacturers, including Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in this province are showcasing their high quality products and raw materials at a month-long trade fair at the Robinson’s Place in Imus.

The trade fair which started last June 22 and will last until July 22 aims to promote the province’s products and help manufacturers market their own produce, including fruit and vegetables.

It was spearheaded by Likhang Kabitenyo Foundation Incorporated (LKFI) in collaboration with the provincial Department of Trade and Industry headed by Noli D. Guevarra.

The trade fair with the LKFI’s continuous market, financial and product development assistance to further improve their products to meet the international standards.

LKFI is registered at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a non-stock non-profit organization aimed to assist entrepreneurs/enterprise and to continually advocate entrepreneurship among Caviteños in the province.

By 2015, the LFKI as a change catalyst will be capable of assisting entrepreneurs/enterprises of the province in preparation for a globally competitive environment.

Mr. Rodrigo Camia assumed the post of president of the LKFI in 2011 after Mr. Alexis Agoncillo, who served as president from 1998 to 2011 and is given the merits of being the President Emeritus of LKFI.

The trade fair opening last June 22 coincided with the general assembly of LKFI members from 19 towns and four cities of the province. It is aimed at promoting the province as an excellent venue for business and to strengthen cooperatives in the area that are also actively involved in the growth and development of MSMEs.
