Cooperatives receive financial assistance

TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite, June 5 (PIA) -- Two cooperatives in the province recently received financial assistance from the provincial government thru the Provincial Cooperative Livelihood and Entrepreneurial Development Office (PCLEDO).

This is part of the commitment of Governor Juanito Remulla to give relief to the cooperatives in the province to ensure their success in their respective businesses.

Dasmariñas Bagong Bayan (DBB) Market Multi-Purpose Cooperative of Barangay Burol 1 received P30,000 for stall holders under SM Marketmall and BULPHA Multi-Purpose Cooperative of Barangay Banaba in Silang were given P50,000 as working capital for their programs and services program.

The financial subsidy were given at the provincial gymnasium during the regular Monday flag-raising ceremony.

Last April 30, a similar event was held where the provincial government granted a total of P100,000 to cooperatives.

The Municipality of Indang Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative received P30,000 for their rice loan project; Handog Kaunlaran Credit Cooperative in Alfonso with P20,000 as additional capital for their business operations; and PASADAKO Multi-Purpose Cooperative in Dasmariñas City with P50,000 for the purchase of sewing machines.

At present, a total of P180,000 financial subsidy was distributed by the provincial government to the five cooperatives. (CPG/Ruel Francisco, PIA-Cavite/PICAD)
