Retired, former workers advised to enroll anew as Philhealth members

SAN PABLO CITY, Laguna, July 6 (PIA) -- Eloisa Tagbo of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth)-San Pablo City, enjoined all retirees and former employees from public and private institutions to register as non-paying members with the PhilHealth in order to enjoy all the benefits and privileges, especially the hospitalization assistance, presently enjoyed by public and private workers.

Tagbo stated that retired or former employees who had paid premiums continuously for 120 months under the government’s National Health Insurance Program are entitled to become non-paying members.

“All they have to do is fill up member data record, attach two ID picture and bring this to the nearest PhilHealth Service Center,” said Tagbo adding that PhilhHalth Identification Card for non-paying member will be issued them. “Just show this card to the accredited hospital whenever they avail of its services,” Tagbo said.(PIA 3)
