Laguna gov't validates applicants for health access program
STA. CRUZ, Laguna, July 1 (PIA) --The provincial government here through the Provincial Social Welfare Development Office (PSWDO) together with the Management Information Systems Office (MISO) is currently conducting assessment and validation of applicants for the Laguna Health Access Program (LHAP).
The validation of the applicants to the health program more popularly known as the ER Orange Card Program started in June 1 and will end on August 24.
Two teams were formed to conduct the assessment and validation, one from the PWSDO and another from the MISO. The PSWDO team, headed by Marita Barcia, interviews the applicants while the MISO team, headed by Rommel Talubo, encodes the data of the applicants.
More than 600 applicants from the different municipalities and almost 1,000 from the different cities are applying to get the ER Orange Cards to avail of the health services under this program. The provincial government targets 300,000 families to be recipients of the program for this year alone.
The ER Orange Card Program was formally launched in October 2010. For the year 2012, the program received a P40M budget from the provincial government. To date, almost P23M in billings from the different provincial hospitals are now being processed.
The Laguna Health Access Program or the ER Orange Card Program of the Provincial Government of Laguna under the leadership of Governor Jeorge “E.R.” Ejercito Estregan aims to assist the poorest of the poor families of the province to be able to avail quality medical services from the different provincial hospitals.
