DSWD warns public on bogus Pantawid SMS promo

CALAMBA CITY, Laguna, June 8 (PIA) -- The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has denied the existence of a Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program (4Ps) raffle promo circulating through short messaging system (SMS).
According to DSWD, the content of the text message is as follows: "Congratulations! From President Nonoy Aquino Foundation. 4Ps-Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program. Your SIM number won! P950,000 2nd prize winner, “Handong Pangkabuhayan” raffle promo! DTI0154s’12 Call me now! Lea Ramos."
In a statement, the DSWD said they are not involved in any promo of this sort, nor do they hold any raffle promos in the promotion of its programs and services. Thus, the public is requested to report immediately any receipt of similar messages to the nearest DSWD office or text to the 4Ps Grievance Hotline: 09189122813. (RIO-DSWD4A/CPG, PIA4A)
