CALAUAN, Laguna, February 24 (PIA) --The Sangguniang Bayan (SB) in this municipality led by Vice Mayor Allan Sanchez announced recently the distribution of one laptop to each SB member so they would be able readily adapt in the advancements of technology today.
Sanchez said that with the computerization of the SB, communication will be easier and the dissemination of information will be faster. It also reduces paper usage.
“Computer facilitates the preparation of various types of reports needed by legislators for the purpose of decision making and control,” said Sanchez, adding that it would also make way for the “virtual” ordinance that could provide the community all the information and documents they need from the local government office such as events, programs, ordinances and records.
He added that computerization improves the accuracy of information and the community could easily accesss records once the “virtual” ordinance is approved.
The computerization is already an achievement for the people of Calauan. This is one way to tell to everyone that as far as technology and progress is concerned, the community can easily adapt to change and is continuously improving the way of life, Sanchez concluded.
