CSC-3 now accepts applications for the 2nd Career Service tests
SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, May 29 (PIA) -- The Civil Service Commission (CSC) in Central Luzon is now accepting applications for the second Career Service Professional and Subprofessional Paper and Pencil Tests of 2012 scheduled on October 21.
CSC Central Luzon information officer Diana Henson said, “Exams are open to all Filipino citizens aged 18 years old and above who are of good moral character, have neither been found guilty to an offense involving moral turpitude nor have been dishonorably dismissed from any civilian position in the government, and have not taken the same level of CSC examination in less than three months.”
Henson stressed that, “passers of the Bar exams and Professional Regulation Commission-administered tests as well as those who graduated with honors need not apply as they are granted with automatic eligibility.”
English and Filipino professional examinations shall consist of subject areas such as vocabulary, grammar and correct usage, paragraph organization, reading comprehension, analogy, logic and numerical reasoning. For the English and Filipino subprofessional exams, subject areas include vocabulary, grammar and correct usage, paragraph organization, reading comprehension, spelling, clerical operations and numerical reasoning.
There will likewise be a General Information test for both professional and subprofessional which covers areas such as the Philippine Constitution, The Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees or the Republic Act No. 6713, Peace and Human Rights Issues and Concepts and Environment Management and Protection.
Exams will simultaneously be conducted in over 30 venues around the archipelago including the cities of San Fernando in Pampanga Cabanatuan in Nueva Ecija and Baler town in Aurora.
An applicant must obtain a passing grade of at least 80 percent in order to earn eligibility that is the key for a stable job in the government.
