Isabela LGUs join 114th Independence Day anniversary

ILAGAN, Isabela, June 12 (PIA) –- Local government units (LGUs) of Isabela are joining the country’s 114th Independence Day celebration by conducting several activities to honor the province's heroes.

In Cauayan City, war veterans from the city will converge today at the city hall grounds for a simple program highlighting the sacrifices made by veterans in freeing the country to be participated by the Department of Education of Cauayan City.

In Santiago City, Mayor Amelita S. Navarro will lead city officials and employees for another floral offering to the statue of Apolinario Mabini at the Mabini circle.

Early last week, flags and flaglets were displayed in strategic areas of city and municipal halls, boulevards, parks and business establishments to show support and patriotism to the country. Flags were also displayed at the stretch of the city road and the national highway at the city’s business district.

LGUs’ center of government have also displayed the Philippine Flags.

Meanwhile, the provincial government scheduled a floral offering today to the statue of heroes and legendary leaders in the province.
Governor Faustino G. Dy III, Vice Gov. Rodolfo Albano II, local officials and employees of the province will join today’s simple yet meaningful anniversary commemoration. (TCB/ME/PIA- Isabela)
