Isabela provincial gov't allots P70-M for livelihood assistance program
SAN MATEO, Isabela, May 21 (PIA) -- The provincial government of Isabela allotted P70 million this year for livelihood assistance program aimed at providing and increasing the income of small and medium entrepreneurs in province. Last year, the allotted amount was only P30 million.
Carlito Tumaliuan, provincial cooperatives officer, said the provincial government is providing an interest-free of P3,000 each to applicants of the livelihood loan assistance program.
Tumaliuan said the livelihood loan assistance will be beneficial to Isabelinos who are aiming to put up a small business and for small entrepreneurs’ additional capital.
Based on the data of the provincial cooperatives office, there are now at least 23,000 beneficiaries of the livelihood assistance program since it started during mid-2010.
The livelihood assistance program is one of the flagship programs of the present administration to give and increase the income of every Isabelinos. (TCB/ME-PIA 2, Isabela)
