BJMP honors jail officers

TUGUEGARAO CITY, August 12 (PIA) – The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in Region 2 has recognized the exemplary performance and dedication of its officers and personnel as well as its partner private organizations during its 21st anniversary celebration.

For the unit awards, Isabela Provincial Office was awarded the provincial office of the year, Santiago City District Jail as district jail of the year and Gattaran Municipal Jail as the municipal jail of the year.

For the individual awards, Senior Inspector Ruben Domingo bagged the staff officer of the year award, chief Inpector Mark Brian Dirain as provincial administrators of the year, Senior Inspector Juliet Miranda as district jail warden, Inspector Rodlfo Arao as junior officer, SJO4 Stanley Ginez as municipal jail warden, SJO4 Antonio Guiyab as male junior non-commissioned officer, JO2 Wilma Borrinaga as female junior non-commissioned officer, SJO4 Anabel Guitering as female warden of the year, JO1 Mark Dominic Albano as male male JNCO unit level, JO1 Lourdes Calimaran female JNCO unit level, and Jarrissa Sebes as non uniform personnel of the year.

Sr. Supt. Abraham Abella, regional director, said recognizing the exemplary performance and efforts of jail personnel is one way to motivate jail officers and personnel to attain BJMP’s mission to enhance public safety by providing humane safekeeping and development of inmates in all district, city and municipal jails.

On the other hand, Abella also recognized their partner agencies and private organizations that contributed to the attainment of their mandate of public safekeeping and inmates’ development to include the different religious organizations and Rotary Club-Rainbow for their outreach programs inside the jail, as well as the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) and the PBS-Radyo ng Bayan for assisting them in the public information dissemination.
