CABARROGUIS, Quirino, Sept 21 (PIA) -- The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) here has announced that the six municipalities in the province collected P249,114.50 gross sales in the five-day Panagdadapun agro-industrial and tourism fair, doubling the gross sales of P173,185 in 2011.

The municipality of Diffun was this year’s top grosser with its total sales of P58, 703.50. It received a cash incentive of P2,000.

George Colebra of DTI said the gross sales of the provincial booth are not yet included in the amount as they are still consolidating their sales.

Colebra attributed the increase of sales to the increase of exhibitors and products displayed in the municipal booths and the improved presentation of the products.

“The different beauty spots displayed in the booths also helped a lot in the increase of sales,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Best Booth Destination winner this year was Aglipay town, which received a cash prize of P7,000.

“Visitors who passed by our booth were attracted by the mini-Aglipay and Victoria Caves constructed in front of our booth and our well-arranged products,” said Benida Factor, the over-all in-charge of the Aglipay Booth.

The municipality’s Cogon Jar, a product of Rolex 5 Wood and Craft of Lenny Pokya, was also adjudged as the Most Innovative Product under non-food category. Pokya received a cash prize of P1,000.
