DAGUPAN CITY, June 2 (PIA) -- Effective June 1, the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation Regional Office 1 (PRO 1 ) has a new home to better serve their members.

It can be recalled that an inspection by the Fire Department last year revealed the old PhilHealth location as a fire hazard for several reasons like the cramped space and lack of fire exits. The new location is now bigger, more accessible and boasts of a wide parking space.

From M.H. Del Pilar street, PhilHealth regional office is now be housed at the former Lyceum Northwestern hospital in Amado Street, Tapuac District, this city, just infront of the Tapuac barangay hall.

Public Relations Officer Irene Martinez said the same good service will be provided by PhilHealth to its members and stakeholders like the processing of membership applications and data amendment requests, acceptance of benefit claims and premium contributions, claims processing, handling of various queries from members and non-members, check releasing and other transactions.

Martinez advised the public that all communications to PRO 1 starting June 1, 2012 should be addressed to its new location. They may still be reached at (075) 523-3127 or (075) 515-3333. (JCR/VHS-PIA 1 Pangasinan)
