MAKATI CITY, June 4 (PIA) -- The local government is now accepting applicants for its mobile passport service, in coordination with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).

In an advisory posted on its website (www.makati.gov.ph), the city said, DFA will release the passports in City Hall on July 14, 2012.

"Only 600 will be processed by the DFA, hence applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis," it reads.

It said all applications must be submitted on or before June 29 in order to make it to the quota. However, an application also carries a processing fee of P1,200.

"All application forms are available at the Office of the City Administrator located at the 20th floor of the Makati City Hall New Building," it adds. Application is open during office hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

For inquiries, please call the CA's office at (02) 870-1374 and 870-111. (RJB/JCP-PIA NCR)
