Marikina, medical technologists offer free med services

MARIKINA CITY, Sept 16 (PIA) -- In celebration of the Medical Technology Week, the city government of Marikina will hold free medical services in association with the Philippine Association of Medical Technologists (PAMET).

Marikina Mayor Del De Guzman is inviting residents to avail of the free medical services on Friday, September 21, 8 a.m. to 12 nn at the Marikina City Center building.

“Health is wealth. That is why the city government is continuously working hard to provide free medical services for the residents. We are hoping that our residents will patronize this event,” De Guzman said.

He added that the free medical services are a big help to residents, citing its high cost if availed in private laboratories.

Free medical services include: fasting blood sugar (FBS), cholesterol test, bone scanning, digital rectal examination, blood pressure, blood typing, and other services.

Meanwhile, free massage and haircut will also be offered to other guests. The free services will cater to 50 to 100 participants per medical service on a first-come, first-serve basis.
