QUEZON CITY, August 22 (PIA) -- The Philippine National Police (PNP) chief has extended the agency's condolences to the family and friends of the late Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse M. Robredo.
In a statement, PNP chief Nicanor A. Bartolome said that the 147,000 men and women of the PNP mourn the demise of Robredo.
€œAs the Chief of the PNP, I extend the deepest sympathy of all officers and men to the family of the late Secretary,€ said Bartolome.
Bartolome also said all PNP camps are hoisting the national colors at half-mast as an expression of great respect to a great man and a good leader who steered the DILG-PNP family through the straight and narrow path of proper public service. (PNP-PIO/RJB/JEG/PIA-NCR)
