QUEZON CITY, May 21 (PIA) -- The Philippine Air Force (PAF) on Sunday said, search and rescue efforts continue for two of its missing pilots after an SF-260TP trainer and light attack plane crashed in Mariveles, Bataan Friday morning.

In an official release, Air Force personnel, in coordination with the Philippine Navy and Philippine Coast Guard, have narrowed their search area south west of La Monja Island near Corregidor.

The PAF has also contracted the services of a seabed mapping ship that uses side sonar to effectively map the waters that could identify the possible wreck site.

According to PAF, to date, there have been no confirmation as to the actual wreck site and the aircraft, except for some debris found last Friday.

Air Force personnel and other rescue teams will continue with the operations until the aircraft and crew members have been located. (PAF-PIO/RJB/JEG-PIA NCR)
