OPM@PAGCOR 2 registration extended
QUEZON CITY, May 5 (PIA) -- Believing in Filipino talent, the Organisasyon ng Pilipinong Mang-aawit (OPM) and the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) have extended the nationwide talent search for the ‘Total OPM Performer.’
In a release, PAGCOR and OPM have extended the cut-off date for application before the actual audition in the following branches of Casino Filipino: Cebu, May 7; Bacolod, May 9; Davao, May 11; Tagaytay; May 15; Angeles, May 19, and the Airport Casino Filipino in Parañaque City on May 25, 2012.
The search, now on its second year, is open to all amateur Filipino singers or with dual citizenship, aged between 18 to 30 years old as of May 1, 2012. Applicants for the competition should not have won any major prize in any national singing contest.
The joint project aims to open new doors to Filipino with exceptional singing talent and bring original Filipino music to greater heights. It will tap the country’s top singers, creative and technical experts, concert directors, and artists’ managers as mentors to the finalists.
Meanwhile, walk-in applicants will also be entertained during the actual audition dates provided they present complete documentary requirements.

The grand prize winner will receive P300,000 cash price and a performance contract worth P500,000; P200,000 for 2nd placer with a P400,000 worth of performance contract; and P100,000 for 3rd placer and a performance contract worth P300,000.
Other grand finalists will each receive P20,000 consolation prize.
