Rizal “Alay sa Lalawigan” trade fair ongoing
ANTIPOLO CITY, Rizal, June 11 (PIA) -- The Rizal Exporters and Manufacturers Fair 8's “Alay sa Lalawigan” like various goods from Rizal and other regions are still on display until June 17 at the SM Taytay Event Center, Taytay, Rizal.
DTI-Rizal, Rizal Exporters and Manufacturers Association (REMAI), and the Rizal provincial government through the Rizal Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Development Council held the ribbon cutting ceremony for the 10-day fair last June 8.
Officials from the local and provincial government of Rizal, particularly local chief executives attended the opening ceremony of the said event.
Present during the ceremony were Andrea Ynares, wife of Rizal Province governor, Vice Mayor Frisco San Juan Jr., REMAI Presdent Estela Nuique, PCCI-Rizal President Juan Martin Barredo, DTI-Rizal Provincial Director Mercedes Parreno, Taytay Mayor George Ricardo Gacula, Morong Mayor Joseph Buenaventura, Baras Mayor Wilfredo Robles, Pililia Mayor Leandro Masikip Sr., and other local government officials.
Unlike previous trade fairs, this year’s activity also features goods from the MIMAROPA and Bicol regions due to the 21st South Luzon Area Business Conference (SOLABC) to be held in Rizal also this month. Aside from the selling of local goods, the fair also includes seminars on Introduction to Product Development/Orientation on New Technologies for Food and Crafts (June 11), Basic Orientation on Intellectual Property Rights (June 12), How to Get Started on Business/Livelihood Opportunities for OFWs (June 13), Consultation Meeting with Consumer Organizations (June 15), and Strategic Marketing for MSMEs (June 16).(GG-PIA 4A)
