Diskwento caravans to visit Cainta and Antipolo

ANTIPOLO CITY, Rizal, May 25 (PIA)-- A spin off of the recently held Diskwento Caravan held at the Dimasalang Park, Antipolo City on May 17-18 will be brought to Cainta and the Rizal Provincial Capitol.

According to DTI Rizal, the two additional schedules will be conducted one at the Cainta Municipal Grounds on May 30-31 and at the Rizal Provincial Capitol Grounds on May 30-31 and June 11, in celebration of the 111th Anniversary of Araw ng Lalawigan ng Rizal.

The Diskwento Caravan aims to provide local citizens with goods sold at lower prices. The two-day diskwento caravan held May 17 and 18 had 33 participating companies from the National Capital Region and Rizal province that sold various goods such as processed foods, canned goods, groceries, school supplies, school uniforms, shoes ,and bags at discounted prices.

The Antipolo City government also launched their One Barangay, One Product where five barangays of Antipolo sold their local goods. DTI also provided business consultancy, reading materials on entrepreneurship and business matching during the previous caravan. (DTI Rizal/GG-PIA 4A )
