P142-M allocated for projects in Cagayan’s 3rd district

TUGUEGARAO CITY, June 15 (PIA) -- Representative Randy S. Ting of the third district of Cagayan bared that a total of P142.3 million has been allocated for the infrastructure, health, livelihood, and education projects in the third district of Cagayan.

Ting said P91 million will go to infrastructure projects, P21 million for health for its financial assistance, P20 million for student’s assistance, and P3.3 million of computer units, and P7 million for livelihood assistance.

The congressman likewise said that he prioritized the putting up of school buildings to solve classroom shortages in the district.

“Putting up school buildings will give citizens accessibility to education, a tool to achieve self-improvement, Ting stressed.”

Other than these, Ting said 90 units of computers worth P1.5 million and chairs will be distributed to different schools, district offices, and division offices here.

As to his legislative work, Ting divulged the initiatives they made for the conversion of provincial roads to national roads as well as the funding support he gave for the concreting of the roads through the support and endorsement of municipal mayors.

Ting likewise said that he passed a House Bill (HB) No. 2331 for the provincial road traversing the barangays of Gadu, Callilauan, Carilucud, Ubong, Parog-Parog, Bantay, Nabbotuan, and Palao of Solana going to barangay Macutay of Rizal, Kalinga to be converted to national roads.

The representative also filed HB no. 2329, for the conversion to national roads of provincial roads traversing the barangays of Sampaguita, Solana; Warat, Piat; La Suerte, Cataruan, Nanuccauan, Bayabat of Amulung going to Afusing, Alcala.

The said bills were already approved last May 17.

Ting also filed HB 2330 or the act converting JP Rizal Road in the municipality of Enrile, Cagayan going to Sta Maria, Isabela via barangays Lanna, Magalalag, Alibago, Maracuru, Inga, Lemu, and Divisoria of the same municipality. (TCB/SRA-PIA2)
