TABUK CITY, Kalinga, Aug 24 (PIA) -- Two thousand three hundred thirty eight (2,338) residents of the province have benefited from the medical mission jointly sponsored by Kalinga Party List and the city government Thursday.

Kalinga Party List Representative Abigail Ferriol of Cavite led her medical and dental teams, assisted by Tabuk City Health Office (CHO) staff, at the Tabuk City public gymnasium.

Rhea Barcellano, one of the CHO staff who assisted, reported that of the total number served, 838 were given free medical consultations and treatment, 550 received dental check-ups and tooth extraction services, 550 were provided eye consultations and treatment, 53 given reflexology massage, eight were circumcised, while 250 were given free multi-vitamins.

Aside from the free services provided, free medicines were also distributed to those diagnosed for immediate treatment. There were also 89 who were given free haircut.

While CHO staff provided pre-consultation and documentation assistance, City Health Officer Henrietta Bagayao joined the medical team in the consultation and treatment of patients.

Bagayao said the activity was well organized even with the large number of patients who came, indicating how experienced the medical teams of Kalinga Party List in conducting medical missions. (JDP/LL- PIA CAR, Kalinga)
