SURIGAO CITY, Agosto 7 (PIA) -- Supak si Pangulong Benigno S. Aquino III sa aborsyon sukwahi sa giingon sa mga grupo sa anti-Reproductive Health (RH) bill nga siya walay pagkabili sa kinabuhi ug dignidad sa matag isig katawo, matud sa opisyales sa Palasyo kagahapon Lunes.

"The President is against abortion. There has been disinformation going around that the President is for abortion,"matud ni Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda atol sa regular press briefing didto sa Malacañang kagahapon.

Gipasiugdahan sa Pangulo ang sugyot sa responsible parenthood aron mahatagan ang katawhan sa saktong impormasyon mahitungod sa family planning aron sila makadesisyon og maayo sa kadaghanon sa ilang pamilya, matud ni Lacierda.

Dugang pa ni Lacierda nga gibutyag na sa Pangulo ang iyang five-point position mahitungod sa responsible parenthood.

"President Aquino wants natural family planning centers (to be) established just to allay the fears that the President has taken a position one way.... It is again a decision on us, on the parents to choose—number one, that you will be informed of the manner and method of family planning and that we will provide you help along that way. In that manner, the President has advocated the establishment of natural family planning centers," matud pa niya.

"Para lang ipaalam sa publiko na wala pong preference po ang Presidente one way or the other. It’s the fact that we need to inform the public of an information campaign, as to the manner of family planning," si Lacierda miingon.

Giseguro usab ni Lacierda ngadto sa publiko nga ang gikonsiderar ni Pangulong Aquino ang mga kabalaka sa mga Katolikong Obispo sa dihang iyang giduso ang balaodnon sa Responsible Parenthood Bill ngadto sa Kongreso. (PIA-Surigao del Norte)
