Kalinga to hire nurses, midwives under RNHeals for 2013
TABUK CITY, Kalinga, Nov. 12 (PIA) - - The Department of Health (DOH) is hiring batch 4 of registered nurses and midwives to be deployed in the barrios under DOH’s Health Enhancement and Local Services or RNHeals.
Dr. Judy Lacar of the Center for Health Development (CHD) here said about 52 registered nurses and 24 midwives will be hired to work for a one-year contract from January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2013.
He said CHD is accepting applicants until November 29; “priorities are applicants from the place of assignment,” Lacar said reiterating their invitation for registered nurses and midwives to apply since there are municipalities without applicants yet.
The quota for 2013 increased compared this with year's hires of 42 nurses and 15 midwives. Registered nurses are paid P8,000 monthly stipend and midwives get P3,000 from the DOH with local counterpart.
There are municipalities however, that do not provide counterpart as local government units are not explicitly obliged to do so. (JDP/PAB-PIA CAR, Kalinga)
