DSWD Caraga reorganizes quick response team
BUTUAN CITY, July 2 (PIA) -- The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Caraga region has reorganized its quick response team (QRT) and has recently conducted capability building to its members at a hotel here.
Conducted in two batches, DSWD Caraga Regional Director Mercedita P. Jabagat said the reorganization of the QRT of the field office is basically done to refresh the members of their respective roles and functions for future undertaking relative to disaster management.
Jabagat said the training has provided QRT members opportunity to enhance their understanding of disaster risk reduction and management, appreciation of disaster response and their contribution to said committee, management of evacuation camps and community kitchen, knowing the process of disaster relief operations and reporting, identifying the psychosocial process, and understanding the roles and functions of the other committees of the QRT.
The resource persons from DSWD Caraga were Ana T. Semacio, head of Crisis Intervention and Disaster Management; Glezza T. Ty, IDU Head; Ramel F. Jamen, supply officer; Leah T. Quintana, head of Social Marketing Unit; Nerisa T. Murih, chief of Policy and Programs Division; Angelita B. Amista, chief of Institutional Development Division; Ramil M. Taculod, management audit analyst; Eval B. Makinano, social welfare assistant.
