Ifugao LGU to conduct dental and medical mission in Tinoc town
TINOC, Ifugao, Aug. 17 (PIA) -- The provincial government will conduct an outreach mission this weekend that will benefit hundreds of beneficiaries living in a far flung barangay of this municipality.
The provincial government through the provincial health office (PHO) and the planning and development office (PPDO), in coordination with the municipal government of Tinoc, will conduct a one-day medical and dental mission and distribute school supplies to residents of barangay Gumhang, here.
Jimmy Taguilingon of the PHO said doctors from the Ifugao General Hospital and Tinoc will pour resources for the success of the activity. “They will also give free medicines for ordinary illness and will also conduct counseling,” he said.
Margie Ngitit of the PPDO said their office will distribute bags, slippers and school supplies to pupils of the Gumhang Elementary school.
She added that their office had conducted the same activity in the municipalities of Hingyon and Lamut as part of the Integrated Assistance Development Program (IADAP), a program initiated by the provincial government to help barangays with high incidence of malnourished children.
